Rocester's Reserve team manager Geoff Thompson and reserves secretary Ann Thompson have resigned from their positions with immediate effect. Geoff and Ann have done a fantastic job with the reserves over a number of seasons and they have decided that the time has come for them to take a well-earned break from football. Chairman Dave Price said; "We'd like to thank Geoff and Ann for all that they have done for the club over the years." "They have both put a lot of time and effort into running the reserve team, we wish them all the best for the future and hope that we will still see them from time to time at our matches." Following Geoff and Ann's resignations, the club are now looking to recruit a new manager and secretary for the reserve team, who will continue to play in the Senior Division of the Staffordshire County League. Candidates for the managers role will ideally have had previous experience of managing and/or coaching at a reasonable level, and must be prepared to work in unison with the managers of both the first team and youth team in seeking to promote quality young players through to first team football.
